About The Shari'a Advisor
of the Company

Shariyah Review Bureau W.L.L. (SRB) has been appointed by Mudarabah Capital ("the Company") as the Shari'a Advisor to advise the Company with respect to its interpretation and compliance with the Shari'a principles. Shariyah Review Bureau W.L.L. is a Middle East-based firm with an international scholarly platform of 35 reputable Shari'a scholars covering the major global Shari'a compliant markets, including Malaysia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Sudan and Kingdom of Bahrain.
Licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain it provides Ancillary services covering Shari'a review, structuring, compliance certificates (fatwa), and Shari'a supervisory audit services.
The Shari'a Supervisory Board appointed to review and certify the Company's Products, documentation and activities are Sheikh Dr. Salah Al Shalhoob and Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad. SRB will also assign the Shari'a audit team to confirm its operations and investments align with the Shari'a principles and report that to the Shari'a Supervisory Board, BOD and stakeholders.
Sheikh Dr. Salah Al Shalhoob:
Shaikh Salah is a Sharia scholar who procured his PhD from Edinburgh University (UK) and Masters from Al Imam University (KSA). He has led a broad range of engagements in the US, Europe, and the GCC, focusing on banking and investment products, real-estate acquisitions, Islamic, Insurance management, listed securities, and private equity fund. His product based experience spans sukuks, home mortgages, leasing, SME Financing and asset management transactions. He is currently a faculty member at the Saudi Electronic University, Riyadh. Before that, he was a faculty member and director of the Islamic Banking and Finance Center at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran. He wrote many research and articles related to the Islamic banking sector that were published in many newspapers.
Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Al Sultan
Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad has over 10 years of experience as a Shari'a consultant & has served clients around the world in a variety of industries, ranging from banking institutes and financial services to corporate and private equity utilities. He was instrumental in setting up both the family and general takaful operations in Pak-Qatar Takaful and is currently a pioneer in the Co-operative Insurance Companies model having served 22% of the Saudi Listed Insurance Market with the likes of Tawuniya, Bupa, Wafa Insurance, Weqaya Takaful and Re- Takaful. Being able to converse in English, Arabic, Deutsche and Urdu he is part of the dynamic team leading SRB's knowledge in Islamic Law and Fiqh (jurisprudence). He has been authorized by the Central Bank of Bahrain as a qualified Shari'a Advisor, at both local and international level.
Description of the roles and responsibilities of Shari'a Supervisory Board: Review and approve the Company's offering documents, including the Terms and Conditions, Subscription Agreement, Policies and Procedures, and all related documents. Prepare the Company's Shari'a guidelines. Meeting if necessary to discuss matters related to the Company. Respond to inquiries raised from the Management related to the Company's investment, activities, or investment structures.
